Here are my impressions so far.
PROS
– affordable price
– theta brainwave stimulation
– ability to be kind to two minds simultaneously
– weight, not too heavy
– three modes
– ability to adjust signal strength and volume
– rechargeable battery
– USB charging connector
– can use it comfortably in bed lying on your side
CONS
– headband design
- small felt strip that transducers attach to slips a lot when trying to affix the band
- the two headband strips seem a tad short; they’re flexible so you need to pull hard to
get them to wrap around your head but then the pressure is increased on your head where
the band lies, especially where the transducers are
– when depressing the mode button the feedback feels
like that of a cheaply constructed device (overall, though, the device has a very solid, hard plastic feel)
SUGGESTIONS
– ability to customize the timer, and control all three modes. Currently only the Blue mode
has a built-in timer and it cannot be changed.
– ability to purchase an extra headband (currently if you want a second headband you need to purchase another Neurophone)
– a headband design where the transducers do not slip around on the band when affixing the headband, and longer headband
straps
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- NEO Neurophone
- 1 pair of transducers
- an audio cable for connecting external audio
- a belt clip
All in all, I like the Neurophone and see benefit in its use. Recommended.
Thank you, Patrick, for your beautiful gift to Gaia. May the beat be with you.
